We often assume that attention and awareness are the same process.
They are not.
For anyone who works through direct instruction, this distinction has real consequences. What our instructions ask for, what they actually produce, and whether those two things are the same is worth examining carefully.
This is not a workshop about learning to pay better attention.
It is a continuing education session for teachers and practitioners who want to look carefully at what we teach and how we teach it. What our instructions actually ask for. What they produce. And what might be getting in the way that we have not yet thought to examine.
