mBODYed Community Classes offer short-term, low-commitment courses that introduce you to the foundations of somatic education. With accessible tiered pricing, flexible scheduling, and replay access, these classes are designed to meet you exactly where you are.

At mBODYed, we believe your body is not the obstacle. It is the instrument. These classes create a gentle and welcoming space to reconnect with your body, your creativity, and your capacity.

Types of Classes

Foundational Classes: for anyone new to Somatic work, those looking to refresh their knowledge, and anyone interested in mBODYed pedagogy. These classes are often sequential.

Professional Classes: for performers and educators; for individuals looking to deepen their somatic knowledge and experience, and continuing education.

Special Topic/BETA: These are test offerings, small groups, and cutting-edge content.

These classes are for:

  • Students looking for support, clarity, or relief from tension

  • Performers navigating pain, fatigue, or performance anxiety

  • Educators seeking somatic and trauma-informed tools for the studio or classroom

  • Professionals wanting to feel more grounded and at ease in daily life

What to Expect:

You do not need to be in pain, and you don’t need to be perfect. Just bring your curiosity and your body, exactly as it is.

The mBODYed Musician: Exploring Somatics for Musicians

The Foundational Introduction to Somatics

What if the key to freedom in your playing is not more effort, but more awareness?

This class is a welcoming introduction to somatic education for musicians. You will explore how the Alexander Technique, Body Mapping, and nervous system awareness can help you move with ease, breathe more freely, and reconnect with your body as an ally in music making.

Perfect for students, educators, and performers who are ready to feel better, play better, and trust their body again. No experience is required.

Mapping the Body: From Tension to Freedom

The Foundational Course in Body Mapping for Musicians

What if tension is not the problem, but a signal pointing to something deeper?

In this six-class, foundational course, you will learn how your body is designed to move, balance, and support you. Through the practice of Body Mapping, you will begin to replace outdated ideas about posture and effort with an accurate, embodied understanding.

This is where freedom begins.

A Foundational Course for Wind Musicians and Singers

This course offers a clear, somatic approach to breathing rooted in anatomical truth and artistic freedom. Undo the myths, clarify your understanding, and unlock the capacity and support you already have.
